PPOM v27.0.0 is live. This release brings a template library, live product preview, WooCommerce block cart support, variation-driven conditional fields, a redesigned field builder UI, performance improvements, and more than 30 bug fixes.
What PPOM does
PPOM is a WooCommerce plugin that adds custom fields to product pages — text inputs, dropdowns, file uploads, image choices, color pickers, date selectors and many more — so customers can personalize orders while you control field behavior and display. PPOM is available as a free plugin on WordPress.org and as a Pro version for advanced features.
Quick highlights
– Template library: Start from ready-made presets for common use cases instead of a blank canvas. Presets include pizza ordering, t-shirt personalization, jewelry engraving, and made-to-measure setups. Apply a preset with one click and then tweak fields as needed, speeding up setup for both new and experienced users.
– Live preview: The field group editor now shows a real-time preview of how fields will appear on the product page. No more saving, opening the frontend in a new tab, and iterating — you can see changes immediately while editing.
– Conditional fields tied to variations: Field groups can now respond to native WooCommerce product variations (Size, Color, Material, etc.). When customers switch variations, PPOM displays only the relevant customization fields for that selection.
– Cart Edit with block cart support: Cart Edit lets customers update their custom options without removing and re-adding items. This feature now works with both the older shortcode cart and the newer WooCommerce block cart, so stores using modern themes can use Cart Edit too.
Other notable changes
– Rebuilt field builder UI: A visual overhaul with a cleaner layout, improved inputs, a new color picker, and a separate Advanced section for less-used settings. The builder is now more intuitive and faster to use.
– Auto-save and unsaved-changes warning: The editor auto-saves work and warns if you try to leave with unsaved changes, reducing the risk of losing configurations.
– Performance improvements: Fewer database queries and lower PHP overhead on product pages, producing faster load times for stores with complex field groups.
Bug fixes
This release includes 30+ bug fixes. Examples include fixes for iOS Safari file uploads, WCML currency conversion issues, image fields not appearing in the WooCommerce Cart Block, and multi-group CSS rendering problems. For the full changelog check the plugin’s official changelog.
